A 3W, 850 nm infrared illuminator lights up the scene with light your eyes can't see, and the sensor shows it on the screen in black and white. The manufacturer rates the viewing range at up to 600 m (about 1,968 ft) in ideal conditions; how far you can actually see depends on the IR level, the weather and what you're looking at. In daylight it shows the scene in full color.

Is this thermal imaging?
No. It's digital night vision: a built-in infrared illuminator lights up the scene with light you can't see, and the camera shows it on the screen. Thermal imagers detect body heat and work differently.
Is the night picture in color?
In daylight it shows full color. With the infrared on in the dark, the picture is black and white, which is normal for infrared night vision.
How far can I see at night?
The manufacturer rates the range at up to 600 m (about 1,968 ft) in ideal conditions. In real use it depends on the infrared level, the weather, the background and the size of what you're looking at, so expect less on rainy or foggy nights.
Is the recording really 4K?
The manufacturer specifies video up to 4K and photos up to 58 MP. The screen itself is 400 × 960. Picture quality at night is limited by the infrared lighting, as with any device in this class.
How long does the battery last?
The 5,000 mAh battery is rated for up to 16 hours per charge. Using the infrared on high or recording video shortens that.
Is a memory card included?

Can I use it for hunting?
